Damien Hirst ‘False Idol’ in Pastry Fat

Damien Hirst Artwork Replicated in Saturated Fat

For World Meat Free Day, Damien Hirst’s legendary artwork ‘false idol’ recreated using 480kg of saturated fat; the amount of saturated fat saved if 100,000 people swapped meat for plant based protein for one day. The installation was produced to draw attention to issues around sustainability and health at the heart of the first World Meat Free Day, taking place on June 15th 2015

For Finn Communications and their client Quorn, completed with an epic team of Helix 3D,  sculpted from pastry fat by food artist Jacqui Kelly and photographed by Travis Hodges.

The piece was based on this Damien Hirst's original…
